February Garden Tips

• Plan your summer vegetable and herb garden. We offer all of your favorite seeds including annuals, perennials and vegetables as well as novelties and hard-to-find selections.
  
  
• Inventory pots and flats used for seedlings and discard unusable ones and make a list of the supplies you will need. We recommend Premier Pro-Mix or Seed Starter as a growing medium.
  
  
• Rotate your houseplants a half-turn every other week to evenly expose foliage to sunlight and to prevent the plants from bending. Continue to fertilize green houseplants with Jacks’Classic 20-20-20 once a month.
  
  
• Instead of cut flowers this year for Valentines Day, select a flowering plant from our greenhouse.
  
  
• Remember to continue to feed our feathered friends Birdseed.
  
  
• Plant pansies, English daisies and primrose as soon as the earth is workable.
